620 Instruments
Provided weekend meals to more than 1,500 District 196 students.
The District’s “Band for All” initiative restored 620 used instruments to allow more kids to enjoy the benefits of the arts.
5,000 Books
Fully funded books for 500 students, providing age-appropriate reading material for the summer months.
$16,500 in SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Funded the District’s school supply program so that no student was without school supplies throughout the school year.
Eliminated Period Poverty
Fully funded the startup costs to provide menstrual products in bathrooms in every school building to help address period poverty.

With growing support from businesses, parents, teachers and citizens, the District 196 Foundation continues to eliminate barriers to learning. Beyond our core programs that ensure all children in the district have food to eat, books to read and instruments to play, we continually work with the district to fill critical needs for current students across our district.
