Every $5 donation to the District 196 Foundation equals one vote.

Each $5 vote is a donation to the District 196 Foundation which is the only charitable entity dedicated to eliminating barriers to learning across the entire school district. Thanks to generous donations from Lunds & Byerly’s, Target, and Cub, all fundraising will go directly to District 196 programs.

The teachers and staff at each winning school will be showered with treats on Monday, June 2!

Your “vote” will not only show love for your favorite schools, but it will also support the foundation in:

  • Distributing 4,000+ bags of food to students each year to access consistent weekend meals,

  • Providing age and culturally-appropriate summer books for students to help maintain reading levels over the summer,

  • Ensuring every student who wants to participate in band has the opportunity by helping to refurbish nearly 600 instruments, and

  • Filling other critical funding gaps to ensure all students are equipped to learn!
